And this is the maxim that Republicans believe in, despite the lone incident of Jan. 6, 2021, a riot that was universally condemned by every Republican office holder and would have been prevented had Nancy Pelosi taken the 10,000 National Guard troops that President Trump repeatedly tried to press upon her to protect the Capitol from just such an occurrence. Mob law has only ever injured the innocent and created chaos. Yet, in today’s America, Republicans more and more see Democrats evading the law themselves, but using the law to bludgeon innocent Republicans and sully their names and reputations with misquotes and words taken out of context. It becomes more and more difficult for Republicans to support the law when the law is no longer blind to party affiliation, and more and more difficult to support the law in an increasingly lawless society created in large part by Democrats’ liberal attitudes toward criminals and illegal aliens. When the Department of Justice does not follow the law by arresting those who illegally protest outside the homes of Supreme Court Justices and threaten their lives?
When the Department of Homeland of Security not only does not enforce the federal law that requires legal entry into the United States, but flies illegal aliens to cities around the country in the dead of night, and also fires several immigration judges because they were Trump appointees, creating even more of a backlog of dealing with immigration issues?
When the FBI ignores the threats, defacement of property and fire-bombing of pro-life pregnancy centers for months before finally starting an investigation?
When the Attorney General of the United States solicits and gets a letter from the National Association of School Boards asking for protection against the parents who are “threatening their lives” in school board meetings by complaining about what their children are being taught, he sends the FBI after them, treating them as domestic terrorists?
When Democrats used the filibuster 314 times during President Trump’s four-year term, nearly twice as much as Republicans had used it in Obama’s eight years, yet now want to get rid of it because the 50/50 split in the Senate prevents them from passing all of their crazy, bad for America bills?
When everything that President Trump did (which resulted in less that 2% inflation, a roaring economy, record low unemployment especially for women and minorities, no new wars, prisoners held in hostile countries returned to the U.S., energy independence, low gas prices, optimistic Americans, and no new wars) was deemed by Democrats as “destroying our Democracy!” (we have a Republic!), yet they are the ones who despise our Founding Fathers, want to end the electoral college when they lose elections, ignore the Constitution of the United States when it does not say what they want it to say, and wish to abolish the Supreme Court when it makes decisions that they don’t agree with, all of which actually would put an end to our form of government as it was intended to be?
When all of this is being done by our supposedly “representative” government in what was once the freest country in the world, how can Republicans, nay any conservative, independent, or moderate Democrat have any confidence in the rule of law? Any confidence in their leaders?
They cannot! Is it any wonder that Biden’s approval rating is polling at less than 40%?
Yet, remembering the words of Lincoln, we will not take to the streets as the Dems constantly do, dressed in handmaid costumes or wearing black masks, trying to force our will upon the country through violent rioting in major cities, pounding on the doors of the Supreme Court Building, chasing Republicans out of restaurants where they are eating, or gathering in intimidating mobs on the lawns of the Justices of the Supreme Court. We are the Party of law and order. And we understand this simple truth:
Only by putting Republicans into the majority in BOTH houses of Congress in November will we have any chance of curbing the worst of what the Democrats want to do and save this country.
