We have turned the corner into a totalitarian regime.  One in which conservatives are lied about and called names for simply expressing ideas contrary to those of the Democrat Party. Churches were closed during COVID-19 shutdowns while casinos, restaurants, and marijuana stores were open. It began years ago, when even former president George W. Bush was called Hitler by Democrats, but it increased in intensity during the Obama years, when every politician or journalist who disagreed with the president was dubbed a racist.

During the Trump administration, everything thing that the President said or did was labeled xenophobic or racist.  The mainstream media deliberately took portions of sentences or entire sentences out of context in order to depict the President as an awful man, and with astounding success.  Many Americans were convinced that he approved of neo-Nazis despite his words to the contrary and against all logic since his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren are Jewish!

Every conservative was called a bigot or a racist just for recognizing and approving of the many good things that the president was doing for America.

Those on either the right or the left who dared make a public statement in support of one of the President’s actions was forced by the left to recant or lose their jobs.  Many lost their jobs despite their apologetics.

The media posted photos of children in cages taken at the southern border during the Obama years and attributed the caged children to the Trump Administration.  When conservative reporters toured and filmed the modern, boarding school type facilities, complete with flat screen T.V.s, sports equipment, school classes, and superhero themed bedspreads on the beds in the bedrooms — all built by the Trump administration for children — no major media corrected their mistake.

In the 2020 election there were anomalies, things which apparently happened which were not what one would expect.  In the past, any president who increased his vote total from his first election, has won reelection.  President Trump garnered over 10 million more votes than in 2016.

In the past, the candidate with the greatest enthusiasm among his followers has won.  President Trump had a rally with 57,000 attendees on the same day that Joe Biden, with former president Obama to support him, drew only a crowd of a dozen or more plus the reporters.  In the past, any president who has won most of the 19 bell-weather counties that always vote for the winner, wins reelection.  President Trump won 18 of the 19 counties and lost.  In the past, any president who won the bell-weather states of Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio, wins reelection.  President Trump won all three.  And then, with the President ahead in the races in several Democrat states, they did something they had never done.  They shut down shop, said they weren’t counting anymore ballots until the next day, and sent Republican poll watchers’ home.  Those same poll watchers came back the next day to discover that vote counting had continued without their supervision and ballots, mostly for Biden, gave him the victory. Republicans were duly concerned about those and countless other irregularities that quickly came to light.  But Democrats quickly burned the physical evidence so that nothing remained as a paper trail to prove election fraud and thus courts refused to throw out any of the questionable ballots.

When it came time for a joint session of Congress to approve the electors from each state who had confirmed Joe Biden as the winner, 140 Republican members of the House and a number of Senators objected, a constitutional right which Democrats themselves have exercised every time a Republican has been elected in the last few cycles.  But Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and their propaganda wing (the press) quickly dubbed these members of Congress “the Treason Caucus.”  Several corporations announced they would no longer contribute to their campaigns and several major banks said they would no longer process credit card donations to these Congressmen, and they, like the President, were banned from Twitter.

On that day, a massive crowd of Trump supporters had descended upon Washington, D.C. to protest what they believe to be a fraudulent election.  President Trump, who was to remain in office for another two weeks, spoke to the crowd and urged them to march peacefully to the Capitol building where Congress was meeting.  His speech was delayed somewhat, and while he was still talking to the crowd, a pipe bomb was discovered at the Capital.  Then, as the crowd marched on the building, a number of them, many of whom were later identified as agitators who were NOT Trump supporters, broke into the building.  Four people died in the skirmish.  Although the presence of the pipe bomb and later discovered social media messages proved that a small group had long intended to storm the Capitol, the media and Democrats (and a few Never-Tramper Republicans) blamed the President’s non-inciteful words to the crowd. Suddenly the President found himself being impeached by Pelosi’s House for the second time, this time for “inciting a violent insurrection against the government.”  First, he had said nothing to incite violence, but instead urged a peaceful demonstration.  Second, how can the leader of a government, which he still was for two more weeks, incite insurrection against his own government?  But then, Democrats twist logic just as they twist truth, to suit themselves.

The Senate ethics committee is currently investigating Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley for their role in the “insurrection” which amounted only to their comments in Congress that they felt there was proof of fraud in the election.  Where are the charges being filed against Congresswoman Waters for actually inciting mobs to run conservatives out of restaurants?  Where are the charges being filed against Bernie Sanders for inciting one of his followers to try to gun down all the Republican Congressmen as they practiced for a ball game?  Where are the charges being filed against Black Lives Matter leaders for their incendiary words about police officers such as “Pigs in a blanket. Fry them up like bacon!” which have led directly to the assassinations of police officers simply sitting in their cars?  Oh, but these are all Democrats.  They can say what they want and get away with it because the media covers for them, always.

With the President being banned from Twitter, many conservatives left with him, going instead to Parler and reducing Twitter users by a substantial number.  But never fear, Big Business jumped in to save the day!  Parler suddenly had its use of servers taken away and all of their lawyers resigned.  They were effectively driven out of business.  The threat of an anti-trust lawsuit, which Parler would certainly have won, seems to be getting them slowly back in business, but it was another indication of the power that tech firms, who are largely left-leaning, have to control speech.

Not only Twitter, but Facebook and YouTube have blocked conservatives, sometimes for a short period of time and sometimes permanently.  During the run-off senate elections in Georgia, the two Republican candidates, who had both led their Democrat opponents by large margin but failed to get the required 50% of the vote because of other candidates who had also been allowed to run, lost.  Perhaps some Republican voters, having lost confidence in the fairness of elections stayed home.  But perhaps also it had something to do with ads by Warnock, one of the Democrats, which read:  “Want $2000?  Vote Warnock!”  He was referring of course to the $2000 individual stimulus check that many Democrats want to send out, but which is by far from a done deal and certainly wasn’t something that voting for Warnock would guarantee, as Georgians quickly found out to their dismay.  The Democrats also posted untrue ads on billboards denigrating their Republican opponents.  At the same time, when the Republicans purchased billboards from Lamar, Corp. and posted ads telling the truth about the Democrats, Lamar ripped all their billboards down.

So, what do we do in a country in which free speech no longer exists?  Where no one can hold an opinion contrary to that of the ruling party?  Where even the truth is scoffed at and dismissed and truth-tellers are punished for their effrontery?  We gather our courage and stand up for what we believe anyway!  We fly the flag.  We tell the truth when the media tells everyone lies. And to do that we must keep informed by locating sources like Townhall.com, RedState.com, PJMedia, Twitchy, The Blaze, or The Washington Examiner, for example.  Know what is really going on, and then share that information with others.  Remember that to be silent is to acquiesce. And to acquiesce is to die, spiritually if not physically.

“First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out —because I was not a communist.

Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”
