Last week a leaked draft of a decision from the Supreme Court on the Mississippi 15-week abortion ban law, which would effectively overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in the U.S. mysteriously appeared.  That the leak is something that has never happened in the history of the Supreme Court and is a betrayal of the sanctity of the Court bothers no one on the Left as the crazies have come out of the woodwork as always.

All of the Justices whose names were listed as favoring the decision have been doxed and extremist groups are offering to pay people to protest at their private homes in Virginia and Maryland.  Those in Virginia may find a surprise, as it is against the law to protest at a private home in Virginia, and there is little reason to believe that Virginia’s newly elected firebrand Republican Attorney General, Jason Miyares, or Republican governor Glenn Youngkin will stand for such tomfoolery in their state.

Vice President Harris and Senator Warren among others have called upon leftists to “fight” with all they have to prevent Roe vs. Wade from being overturned, though, despite Sen. Warren’s hysterical passion neither of them has precisely specified what they mean by “fight.”  Thus, mobs have gathered in front of the Supreme Court Building, requiring the erection of 7-foot high protective fencing.  This weekend, they are planning demonstrations in front of Catholic Churches.  Are they not aware that many, many protestants, especially Evangelicals, are also pro-life?  Well, no, I guess not.  Pro-abortion students walked out of classes at several colleges, mobs gathered in mostly Democrat-run cities across the U.S., and celebrities have warned that now the Supreme Court will take away other “freedoms” including inter-racial marriage and interstate travel.

That all of this is bizarrely ridiculous goes without saying.  But what is sad is that it is all a sham.  If Roe v. Wade is overturned, as it should be, since nothing in the Constitution guarantees a woman the right to kill her unborn child, abortion laws will simply revert to the states. Abortion will remain legal in the United States. Certainly states such as California, New York and Illinois will continue to have extremely lax abortion laws, allowing abortions throughout the nine months of pregnancy, something done only in Communist China and North Korea.

Other states will most likely come up with laws like the 15-week Mississippi ban, which is much closer to the laws of the majority of civilized western nations who ban abortions after 12 weeks.  Ours abortion laws must seem barbaric to them. The decision would be made, not by the seven old white men on the Supreme Court (two voted against it) who invented a right in the Constitution out of thin air in 1973, thus denying life to over 63 million babies, but by the people it would affect.  Sadly for the black community, most of those 63 million babies were black since five times as many black babies are aborted each year as white babies!  There is a reason that Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood.  Her desire was to manage the black population in the U.S. and Planned Parenthood and the Democrats (you know, the former KKK and Jim Crow people) have done an excellent job of just that.

So, the decision of when to allow abortion and under what circumstances would be decided by the people of each state through their representative legislatures.  And how exactly might those people in general think about abortion?  Well, several polls show that the Democrats, as usual, are on the wrong side of the issue.

A poll by the NRSC found that voters believe that the “Supreme Court should allow the states to ban late-term abortions” 55% to 35%.

A Fox News poll released earlier this week found that voters supported the 15-week abortion ban 54% to 41%.  Furthermore, 43% want abortion to be “mostly illegal.”

The Wall Street Journal’s poll earlier this month before the Supreme Court leak found 48% support for the 15-week ban compared to 43% who opposed it.

Last June, the Associated Press-NORC Center For Public Affairs Research poll found 65% of respondents felt abortion should be generally illegal in the second trimester and 80% thought it should be generally illegal in the third trimester.

Big Poll Data found that 67.2% of respondents felt abortion should be illegal in the last three months of pregnancy as opposed to 17.1% who thought it should still be legal.

According to Jen Psaki, President* Biden does not support any limits on abortion and most Democrat politicians follow suit.  Abortion has been, pardon the pun, their baby.  And this at least, has forced them to admit that only women can give birth as Gov. Gavin Newsom claimed “If men could get pregnant, this wouldn’t even be a conversation.”  Oops!  There go the “birthing people” and the “pregnant men.”  And President* Biden in his message talked about “aborting a child” giving lie to their claim that a fetus is just a clump of cells.

The funny thing about all of this is that the leak was no doubt intended to rouse the left, to stir up lackluster voters who were depressed by all the failures of this administration and weary under the load of rising inflation, to make them rush to the polls to defeat those women-hating Republicans!  But a poll by CNN found that although some Democrats claim this has made them more likely to vote in November, that percentage is lower than the increase in Republicans who have been motivated by the leak and all the resulting hullabaloo. On a generic ballot, Republicans lead Democrats 49% to 42%, a WIDER lead than before the Supreme Court leak.  And as for the economy, which still remains the focus of most Americans, 46% say the Republican Party’s views are more aligned with theirs compared to 31% who align with the Democrats.

So, after all the wailing and the gnashing of teeth, the Supreme Court will hand down the actual decision in June with still months to go before the election.  If the final decision is close to the leaked draft, more hysteria will follow, but much of the steam will surely have been spent by then, and the continuing rising inflation will mean much, much more to the voting public than the sex life of irresponsible young adults.
