During an interview with Bill Press, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez claimed that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was “the future of the Democratic Party.”  But this “future of the Democratic Party” is both a liar and woefully uninformed.

In an interview with Jeremy Scahill of The Interceptor, Ms. Ocasior-Cortez attempted to make herself sound like the everyday worker whose district she hopes to represent by saying “So my father passed away without a will like many working class and poor families do.” However, her architect father had moved his family from Parkchester in the Bronx to Yorktown Heights, a wealthy suburb in Westchester County when Alexandria was five.  Certainly an architect works, but I wouldn’t classify her family as a “working class” or “poor family!”

As for woefully uninformed, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez has made some bone-headed mistakes in interviews with various news organizations and on Twitter:

She said she was trying to flip a blue seat red in November. (She is trying to keep a blue seat blue.)

She said that Israel is occupying Palestine. (It is not.)

She can’t explain the difference between a Socialist and a Democratic Socialist.

She said a 17-year-old can walk into a shop and purchase an assault weapon. (No one can purchase an assault weapon except the military.)

She said that unemployment is low because many people are working 80 hours a week in more than one job.

Let’s consider that last dumb statement, because she is not the only Democrat to espouse that theory.  Unemployment numbers are arrived at by counting the number of individuals who are unemployed but looking for a job.  If, on the other hand, we were to tout employment numbers, which have increased by over 3,000,000 since President Trump took office less than two years ago, we would count individuals who are working regardless of how many jobs they work.  Each man and woman would count once, even if he or she worked multiple jobs.  No wonder the Democrats don’t do good things for the economy! They don’t understand how it works!

And Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff accused New Jersey Congressman Tom MacArthur of saying his Korean American opponent is “not one of us.” But that was a deliberate lie.  Congressman MacArthur, who has two adopted children from South Korea, is not a racist and never made that comment.

But the “new Democratic Party” is more than uninformed, individuals who have little connection to the truth.  According to former Attorney General Eric Holder, “Michelle (Obama) always says that, you know, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ No. When they go low we kick them.  That’s what this new Democratic Party is about.”

Hillary Clinton joined in with, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for what you care about. That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again.”

Maxine Waters urged Democrats to harass cabinet members, saying, “And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore anywhere.”

The Minnesota Democratic spokesperson actually called for violence against Republicans before being suspended after the backlash.

And indeed, ordinary Democrats are taking their leaders at their word:

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were run out of a Red Hen Restaurant, and when some of her party tried to go across the street to another restaurant, the manager of the Red Hen followed them across the street, yelling at them.

Sen. Rand Paul was knocked to the ground by a Democratic neighbor as he was innocently mowing his lawn.  He sustained cracked ribs and bruised lungs which resulted in repeated bouts of pneumonia.  His wife now sleeps with a loaded gun next to her bed.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, Elaine Chao, who is the Secretary of Labor, were followed to their car by a mob, hurling epithets and taunts at them.

A group of teens went into a Whataburger restaurant and were accosted by a man who cursed at one boy who was wearing a Make America Great Again hat, then stole the hat off his head and threw a drink in the boy’s face.

A man and a woman in tandem harassed Henry Kissinger, who served as Secretary of State and National Security Advisor under presidents Nixon and Ford, at a meeting and had to be escorted out by police as they screamed at him, accusing him of having blood on is hands.

Senator McConnell and his wife were again accosted at a restaurant, this time in Kentucky, had their food snatched from their table and thrown out the door while the appalled other customers called for the harassers to leave.

The female campaign manager for Nevada GOP gubernatorial nominee Adam Laxalt was attacked by a Democratic operative for American Bridge 21st Century, a group funded by liberal billionaire George Soros.  He forced her into a corner, grabbed her arm, yanked it, and refused to let go, leaving her with bruises on both her arm and neck.  He was later arrested.

A GOP congressional candidate in California was attacked by a crazed, knife-wielding man yelling obscenities about President Trump.  The candidate was able to fend him off with campaign signs until help arrived.

A teenage volunteer for David Schoen, the GOP candidate for Nevada’s 35th State Assembly seat was accosted by a crazy person who managed to smash his phone.

In the lead up to the confirmation hearings for now Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Sen. Susan Collins was first treated to a bribery attempt and then her office was flooded with death threats and vile comments to both her and her staff.  Since her speech in the Senate and her vote to confirm, the threats have continued.

No one enters the Senate gallery except with a pass signed by a senator.  So Democratic Senators provided such signed passes to individuals who were paid (the exchange of money is caught on film) to go into the gallery to scream and shout in order to disrupt the confirmation hearing.

The Democratic Senators  themselves, lost all decorum in an attempt to stop the confirmation, first consistently interrupting both then Judge Kavanaugh and their Republican counterparts on the committee, and then, when all else failed, bringing forward an accusation of sexual misconduct when Kavanaugh was 17, 36 years ago and continuing to promote the accusation as truth even when the accuser’s own three witness said under oath, twice, that they never witnessed such an event or knew anything about it.

Mobs of mostly women agitators accosted Republican Senators in the halls, trying to shame them into accepting the claim for which even the FBI found no evidence.

Sen. Ted Cruz and his family were run out of a D.C. restaurant.

A staffer for Democratic Representative Sheila Jackson Lee was arrested by Capitol police for releasing to the internet the private addresses and phone numbers of several Republican Senators, thus allowing them to be harassed or even physically attacked in their homes.  The staffer, Jackson Cosko, had previously worked for Senators Maggie Hasson (D-NH), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

During the actual swearing in of Associate Justice Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court Building, crazed mobs stormed the brass doors, beating uselessly against them and even clawing at the crack between the doors in an attempt to pry them open.

And Congressman Steve Scalise was gravely wounded when a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter opened fire on a group of congressmen practicing for the yearly congressional baseball game.

In all, there have been over 500 reported incidents so far in which Republicans or Trump supporters have been physically or verbally assaulted by Democrats.  One wonders how many incidents have not been reported to the police.

This is the new Democratic Party, the party of hatred and violence.

“Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips.” (Psalm 140:1-3)
