We were told that the Trump administration had no idea what they were doing, even though President Trump got NATO countries to pay their fair share for their own defense, brought back manufacturing jobs from overseas that Obama told us were gone forever, oversaw a booming economy with historically record unemployment for minorities, kept us out of any new wars, kept gas prices at just over a dollar per gallon as he made us energy independent, pushed through the creation of vaccines for the COVID-19 virus, smashed and dispersed ISIS, took out several terrorist leaders including the most important one from Iran, and brokered peace treaties between Israel and several of her Arab neighbors.
But during the election we were told that if we elected Democrats and Biden, the adults would be back in the White House. So how have the “adults” done?
Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline construction and banned drilling and fracking, removing our energy independence and driving gasoline prices in our neck of the woods well over $3 a gallon. Heating fuel is up as much as 54% over last year. (Our own propane contract cost us exactly $1,000 more than last year!). Prices of commodities which have to be shipped to stores cost more because of the increased cost of transportation. But Biden did remove the barriers that kept Russia from building its pipeline. Now Europe, who was buying gas from us, either buys from Russia when the pipeline is complete, or burns coal, coal that is far dirtier than the coal we produce and burn. In fact, being often ahead of us, Europe has realized that wind and solar energy cost too much and are inefficient, and they are turning away from their “green energy” plans.
Biden, unaware of a previous $66 billion deal between France and Australia, joined with Great Britain to sign an agreement cutting out the French and supplying Australia with nuclear submarines. French President Macron, in righteous anger, immediately recalled his ambassador to the United States. So much for the country that helped us win our independence and was the first to recognize us as an independent nation! Good work, “adults!”
Biden’s administration found it a good idea to allow tenants not to pay rent because of the pandemic, bankrupting many landlords who used those rent payments to pay off the mortgages on the property. In addition, they extended unemployment and gave an additional weekly payment to those who were “out of work,” long after jobs were going begging. The courts finally ended the federal rent moratorium, but some blue states have kept it. The extra money per week is also gone in most places. Medicaid was expanded, but states could use the federal money allocated for Medicaid only if they didn’t drop anyone off the rolls, even those who did not need it. Thus, millions of people joined Medicaid, some of whom were earning the equivalent of $50,000 a year from the federal government for not working. And yes, the unemployment rate is dropping, but sadly because millions of able-bodied people have grown indolent on the government’s dime, and have dropped out of the labor force all together. When that happens, their numbers are not included among the unemployed. It is Obama’s administration all over again, which is not surprising, since it is no doubt his people (and perhaps even he himself) who are really making the decisions.
For example: Biden reads always from a teleprompter or from notecards. When he gets off script, he bumbles around making little sense and his handlers quickly end the press conference. Now, he generally simple reads a statement, then turns and walks out of the room. On one occasion, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was meeting with Biden for a photo op at the White House and when Johnson took a question from a British reporter, White House officials immediately jumped in, interrupting Johnson’s answer as they loudly shouted at reporters to leave, herding them unceremoniously out of the room. Prime Minister Johnson must have been astounded at the lack of civility and decorum from “the adults” in the White House.
The economy is flagging as prices on everything rise. Used cars cost 24% more than they did a year ago and new car lots are virtually empty. We have ordered a new car, but it will be months before we see it! Toilet paper and paper towels that were impossible to find due to hoarding at the start of the pandemic are beginning to disappear again. And what you bought last week will certainly cost you more today – – – if you can find it. Inflation under President Trump was barely more than 1%, but under Biden it has climbed, reaching 5.4% in September. Consumer confidence is also dropping, a warning sign of a coming recession.
Parents are angry at school boards who are pushing un-American curriculum like the absolutely false 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory. As a result of their objections, the National Association of School Boards, without the approval of local school boards, sent a whiny letter to Biden claiming that parents were threatening physical violence and equating them to “domestic terrorists.” As a result, Attorney General Merrick Garland, who once seemed to be a reasonable individual, has directed the FBI to go after these terrorist parents. In Loudon County, Virginia, the local school board has been covering up rapes, in the plural, over several years, contrary to state law. When a young girl was raped by a “gender fluid” boy in a skirt in the girls’ restroom at one of the schools, the father stood up to confront the school board about it. They had him arrested, later explaining that it was because he had not asked to be put on the agenda. His arrest and the ensuing investigation from conservative news sources found that not only had the same “Boy in a skirt” sexually assaulted another girl in a different school, but that the district had been covering up similar cases for several years. But never fear, the DOJ will have the FBI in there to keep those terrorist parents in line!
Then there was the Afghanistan fiasco. President Trump and Mike Pompeo had made an agreement with the Taliban as the President wished to withdraw our troops. However, there were detailed plans in place, each depending upon the actions of the Taliban. It was not President Trump’s intention to turn the country over to them. Sadly, although Biden had the plans and the generals who had helped draw them up, he chose to scrap them all, announce that we would have all troops out by August 31, and then immediately abandoned Bagram Air Base and pulled all our troops back to the Kabul airport, effectively leaving the entire rest of the country for the Taliban. Unfortunately for our relations with our allies, he gave them no warning, avoided their phone calls, and said we would evacuate those who came to the Kabul airport. He became the first president to be censored by the British Parliament!
We know the withdrawal left hundreds, perhaps thousands of Americans stranded, some of whom have since been evacuated by private organizations. Thousands of those whom we promised to protect because they had worked with and for us were also left behind and are being hunted down, tortured and murdered by the Taliban to whom the “adults” gave their names, addresses, pictures and biometrics so they would “let them through to the airport to be evacuated.” Fat chance! We also know that the Taliban released all of the terrorists, thousands of them, kept in the Bagram prisons, and that one of them later was the suicide bomber who killed 13 of our people and countless Afghan citizens.
We know than most of those who were actually airlifted into the U.S. had not helped us in any way during the war years, have no documentation and could thus be terrorists, and some of whom have sexually assaulted women soldiers at the bases where they were being processed.
And where was Biden during all of this? In the situation room with his eye on what was going on? Nope! On vacation. Repeatedly. When forced to make a statement, he returned to the White House, and then promptly returned to his vacation.
Now we face another crisis. 250,000 containers are sitting in Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, waiting to be loaded onto trucks which have no drivers. And where is our transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg? At home with his husband and their two newly adopted babies. He is on a two-month maternity leave. Although he found time to give an interview to People Magazine, he has not found time to address the transportation crisis that is emptying store shelves just as we head into the holidays. The most troubling part of this scenario is that apparently no one has missed him. But then, he never could fix the pot holes in South Bend, Indiana, a city of only 102,000 inhabitants. Why was he considered competent to handle the transportation of a country of 340,000,000 citizens and millions of illegals? Here is the answer from Ric Grenell, himself gay, who served President Trump first as Ambassador to Germany and finally as the Director of National Intelligence, a Cabinet position:
“It’s clear @PeteButtigieg was hired because he’s gay. After 6 months on the job he takes 2 months off?! This is what we get when Cabinet hires are made according to the woke rules of identity politics.”
So how are the “adults” doing? They are spending a lot of time on vacation and even when they are “at work,” they are pretty much ruining this country. These so-called “adults” have been in power for only 9 months. We must elect a majority Republican House and Senate to have some ability to prevent the worst of their idiotic ideas until we finally get to 2024 and can get a Republican “America First” president who knows what he is doing into office to begin to repair the horrendous damage they are doing!
