I recently read a column which began with the sentence.  “Democrats are evil.”  That is a pretty stark statement and one which should not be made lightly.  One must first, of course, believe that evil exists and that it is the opposite of that which is morally good, a precept that is clearly taught in the Bible. So, I decided to take a look at some of the things that Democrats have done over the past nearly four years.  I leave you with the choice of deciding whether their actions have been morally good or evil.

During the presidential campaign of 2016, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and her campaign hired, through a company called Fusion GPS, a former British spy to compile dirt on the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.  We now know, from internal DOJ and FBI documents, that that information was composed of flat out lies and misinformation from the Russians who were more inclined to work with a President Clinton of the Russian Reset Button than an unknown, blustery businessman.  The DOJ and the FBI were aware of this from the start.  They also had gotten an email from the CIA informing them that Carter Page had worked for the U.S. government to garner information from Russians with whom he had met.

A Democrat in the FBI changed the wording of that email and along with other Hillary supporters in the FBI and DOJ, used the fake “Dossier” from the British spy, paid for by the Clintons, to get FISA warrants to tap into Page’s phones.  Thus, the Democrat presidential candidate knew much that was going on in the Republican presidential candidate’s campaign.

Was that morally good or evil?

When Donald Trump, against all odds, beat Clinton for the presidency, the same Democrats in the FBI and DOJ, and most probably the CIA as well, using the fake “dossier,” began an investigation into the Trump campaign, leaking to the public that Trump had “colluded” with the Russians to win the election.  When FBI Director James Comey, whom everyone wanted removed from office, was removed from office, he retaliated by leaking a conversation with the President thus giving the Assistant Attorney General, a Democrat, a “reason” to appoint a Special Counsel.  The Special Counsel’s staff was made up of Democrats, one of whom had been Hillary Clinton’s lawyer.  Was that morally good or evil?

General Flynn, a highly decorated general who had butted heads frequently with President Obama was set  up by the FBI top brass who deliberately hunted for some reason to arrest him, hoping to force him to turn on the President and give them fuel for an impeachment.  They found some questionable paperwork that his lawyers had done in 2017 and used that to blackmail his lawyers into pushing Flynn into accepting a guilty plea for lying to the FBI, which he had not done.  He was threatened with 15 years in prison, was bankrupted, and was told the FBI would go after his son if he didn’t plead guilty.  So he did.  Was that morally good or evil?

Other members of Trump’s campaign were also arrested and charged with various minor crimes, one of them routed from his home in a pre-dawn raid by a SWAT team and forced to stand on his lawn with his wife and children while they searched his house.  No one was ever charged with anything to do with Russian collusion.  One of them had on his jury not a single Republican, not a single blue-collar worker and a jury foreperson who had ranted on her Facebook page that she hated both him and President Trump.  The judge, who had been appointed by a Democrat president, refused to disallow the jury foreperson from serving and refused to allow his defense from presenting exculpatory evidence.  Was that morally good or evil?

When the Robert Mueller Special Counsel’s investigation eventually admitted that there was no proof that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia to steal the election, despite all the leaks from the Democrats to the press that they had “seen the proof,” they had to try something different. So the Democrats shifted to a phone call that President Trump had made to the president of the Ukraine. The Democrats claimed had the President had blackmailed the president of Ukraine.  President Trump immediately released the transcript of the phone call which showed nothing of the sort and the president of the Ukraine said he never felt threatened at all.  Nonetheless, the Democrats held secret hearings in a sound proof room listening to witnesses who had never heard the phone call but who had policy differences with the president.  The one witness who had heard the phone call admitted there was no blackmail, but the House voted to impeach the president anyway.  Was that morally good or evil?

When Justice Brett Kavanaugh was being confirmed by the Senate, the media ran story after story of unsubstantiated, implausible allegations of sexual misconduct, including one story that as a teenager he had run a rape ring.  Yet, when Joe Biden, of whom tons of video exists of him sniffing women’s hair and rubbing their shoulders at formal events, is accused of having molested one of his workers some years ago, the media  and Democrat leaders ignore the story. This despite the fact that her mother had discussed it with Larry King on his show, video which has also been found, and now two of her former co-workers, both Democrats, have come forward to affirm the victim had told them about the attack shortly after it happened.  Still, silence from the “Believe the women!” crowd. Is that morally good or evil?

Governor Northam of Virginia said that if a baby was born alive in a botched last minute abortion, it could just be kept comfortable while the mother and doctor decided what to do with it. Was that morally good or evil?

Shortly after the first Coronavirus case appeared in the U.S., President Trump banned all flights from China and other effected countries, except those repatriating U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  The Democrats cried that he was being racist and xenophobic.  He spoke of the Coronavirus during the State of the Union Address and quickly set up a Task Force.  He began holding press briefings to keep citizens up to date on what was happening.  He gave California and New York all the help they needed, including sending in hospital ships, ventilators, masks, and drugs. He had closed off flights from Europe quickly as well, while Mayor de Blasio of NYC was telling New Yorkers to go about their normal lives into March, and while Nancy Pelosi was encouraging people to visit China Town for the Chinese New Year.  Now, they claim that the President “has blood on his hands,” and  Adam Schiff  has said that thousands of Americans died because they hadn’t been able to impeach the president.  What hypocrisy!  Was that morally good or evil?

Michigan State Representative Kate Whitsett contracted the virus.  After hearing the President talk about the excellent results that doctors around the world have been having with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, she told her doctor and he agreed to try the drugs.  Although gravely ill, she swiftly recovered. Both she and her doctor have attributed her survival to President Trump’s mention of the drug and she was invited to the White House with other COVID-19 survivors.  Governor Whitmer of Michigan was displeased and has sent Rep. Whitsett a number of what Whitsett called “nasty” emails.  The state legislature has censored her for showing her gratitude to the President.  Was that morally good or evil?

And it is not just Democrat leaders whose behavior is questionable.  Matt Batzel, executive director of American Majority, a national nonprofit organization that trains conservative activists and political candidate, posted pictures on Facebook of a rally against Wisconsin Governor Evers stay-at-home order.  His page exploded with rage.

-Kathleen McIlraith said she hoped if he “has a job, he’s fired. An NO ONE hires him.”

– He’s got that face you want to punch,” someone else wrote.

“Now we need his home address so he can be barricaded in,” Bill Brink added.

-Matthew Boit wrote, “Somebody go get em. He protesting like a idiot[sic].”

-Deb Nelson, no doubt remembering the Sanders’ follower who opened fire on the Republicans who were practicing for a ball game, contributed: “Anyone want to waste a bullet. Target leg wound.”

Was this morally good or evil?

Not all Democrats are like the ones mentioned here.  We have very good friends who are Democrats.  But if you think Democrats such as those in this article could not be your neighbors, just remember Republican Senator Rand Paul who was attacked by HIS neighbor while he was innocently moving his lawn.  He ended up in the hospital, needed surgery, and ended up with a weakened lung which no doubt contributed to his catching the COVID-19 virus, from which he has thankfully recovered.  Was his neighbor morally good or evil?

I could fill a book with the things which Democrats have done in the last few years alone which can be questioned. No doubt someone will tell me that Republicans are just as bad, and I agree that any man or woman sins.  But I defy you to fill pages with Republican deeds that equal those of the Democrats.

So, will I call Democrats evil?  No.  I leave that determination up to you.  In the few instances which I have mentioned, were the Democrats morally good or evil?  There is no in between.
