Former mayor of New York city, Michael  Bloomberg officially entered the vast hoards who are running for the Democratic presidential nomination.  He announced, “I’m running for  president to defeat Donald Trump and rebuild America  . . . “  (Pavlich, Katie. “No Michael Bloomberg  is Not a  Moderate.”  Townhall.com).  Let’s examine the ways in which President Trump  has  torn down America so that Michael Bloomberg must “rebuild it.”

The stock market continues to hover around the 28,000 mark, today at 28,128.14.    It was just over 18,000 one month before President Trump  was elected president. That is an increase of about 10,000!  5.4 million new jobs have been added since the president’s election according to Market Watch, and despite a General Motors Strike, according to CNBC, October numbers included:

Nonfarm payrolls rose by 128,000 in October, exceeding the estimate of 75,000 from economists surveyed by Dow Jones.

August’s initial 168,000 payrolls addition was  revised up to 219,000 while September’s jumped from 136,000 to 180,000.

The unemployment rate ticked slightly  higher to 3.6% from 3.5% as more workers began looking for jobs.  That is still near the lowest in  50 years.

Average hourly earnings rose to a year-over-year  3% gain.

More women have jobs than since the 1950s.   More blacks and Hispanics are working than ever before since records have been kept. In October, black unemployment sank to an historic 5.4%.

164.4 million Americans have jobs,  a new high (CNBC).

In January of 2019, 7.6 million jobs were waiting for workers while only 6.5 million people were looking for work. (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Christians are being supported by the government when the practice of their religion has been infringed upon by liberal groups, a considerable change from the Obama years when Christians were expected to do things against their religious beliefs.

18 states now allow parents to use vouchers to send their students to better schools. In Washington D.C., which also has a voucher program, the majority of students using vouchers are black.  The Department of Education now encourages the use of vouchers, against the wishes of the national teachers’ organizations,  to allow students in failing inner-city schools to attend even private schools in search of a better education.

At President Trump’s urging, several NATO nations have begun to pay their full  obligations to NATO rather than depending upon the U.S. to fill in the gap as it has done for decades.

American soldiers no longer struggle under President Obama’s  restrictive “Rules of Engagement” which left more than one soldier court martialed for killing terrorists in order to save the lives of his men

The ISIS leader Al Bagdadi has been killed, as has his immediate subordinate.  ISIS no longer has a foothold in any territory in the Middle East.  While they continue to exist, like Al Quaida, they do so in fragmented groups here and there.

President Trump met with Kim Jong Un of North Korea.  As a result, the North Koreans no longer are firing missiles at Japan or threatening Guam with a nuclear bomb.  They also released to the U.S.  the remains of American soldiers from the Korean War and two Americans that they were holding prisoner.

President Trump has also secured the release of an American woman held for years by the Taliban, two of the Americans held in Iran, Americans held in China, an oil engineer held in Yemen, a family in Pakistan –also held by the Taliban, a former CIA agent from Portugal, a husband and wife helping street children  in Egypt, and a man held in Venezuela, a total of 18 in all.  And he did so through diplomacy.  President Obama sent pallets of dollar bills to Iran to secure his Iran Nuclear Deal, but he didn’t secure the release of the Americans who have been held captive in Iran for years.  As for  the one American soldier that he brought home from the Taliban with great fanfare and hoopla, he had to exchange five high level terrorists from  Gitmo for the release, and it then turned out that the soldier was a deserter. Maybe the five Americans still held in Iran would have been a better trade!

President Trump is working every way he can to limit the number of illegal aliens coming into the United States.  Despite the resistance of the Democrats and decisions by liberal judges, parts of the wall between the U.S. and Mexico are being built. Refugees claiming asylum now have to wait in Mexico until their hearings rather than being released into the U.S. to disappear never to be seen again.

Every presidential candidate makes promises  on the campaign trail, but through the things already mentioned and through the repeal of many of President Obama’s job-killing regulations, President Trump has kept 87 of his campaign promises. President Obama kept one during his first term and President George W. Bush kept two.  A pretty good track record, I would say.

He has appointed over 150 federal judges and two Supreme Court Justices, all of whom believe in following what the Constitution says rather than twisting it to fit their wishes.

Americans on the whole are  confident about their future economics.  60% think their economic future will  be better and 50% feel it is better than it was a year ago.  And this is despite the constant trashing of the president by the mainstream media whose coverage of him  has sunk to a new low of 96% negative  reporting. Even when he okayed the mission to kill Al Bagdadi, the media found negative things to say about it.

The things  that are in danger in America are rights guaranteed under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Freedom of speech.  Freedom of religion.  The right of every citizen to bear arms.  And it is Democrats, like Michael Bloomberg, who are attempting to take these away from us.

So what exactly in America is Bloomberg going to rebuild?
