The left has been pushing racism against conservatives for years, now, but recently they have carried it even farther. Using terms like “white supremacy,” white privilege,” “white fragility,” and “critical race theory,” they now contend that all people born with white skins feel superior to and exude hatred for people whose skins are yellow, brown or most importantly, black.  It is, they claim, inherent in our genetic code.  We are born as racists and the more we cry that we are not racists, the more that simply proves that we are.  This is not only inherently false, it is positively medieval!

Witches and sometimes criminals were judged by medieval rulers by water.  The accused was tossed into a body of water while villagers watched.  If the accused could swim or float, it was an indication of their guilt and they were hauled out of the water and executed.  If the accused could not swim and drowned in the water, his or her innocence was proven, but the poor unfortunate was equally dead. Once accused, death ensued.  Period. We enlightened 21st century people consider such barbaric trials the result of unenlightened and uneducated minds, superstitious individuals who sought only to punish someone, anyone, regardless of actual guilt.

So it is with the left today and racism.  These leftists consider themselves superior in every way to normal Americans.  They graduated from Ivy League Schools, or at least live in cities where people who did graduate from such prestigious institutions live. They believe that they alone know what is true and what is false because they create truth, just as the Nazi socialists and the communists did in the past.  And just as they create truth out of fiction, they have also changed the meaning of the word racist. The definition of racism is “prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group.” Often that antagonism is better called hatred.  But the left has changed the real meaning of the word racism so that know, according to them, is means simply the relationship between whites and any other ethnic or racial group.

Any logical thinking person, even the poorest farmer or factory worker in Illinois has enough common sense to understand the insanity of that definition.  It changes the meaning of racism from something active –prejudice, discrimination, antagonism—to something passive and inherent.  If you are born white, you are born a racist.  You may not feel prejudice, discrimination or antagonism against a black person, but it is there, under the skin. You may think you have a black friend, but deep down you feel superior.  You may hire black workers, but you would prefer to hire whites because you think they are not so lazy, even if you don’t recognize that preference in yourself.  And if you adopt black orphans from Haiti, as Judge Amy Coney Barrett and her husband did, it is not because as Christians you looked at children with no parents who were less likely to be adopted because they lived in a third world country, fell in love with them, and embraced them as your own, but rather that you saw yourselves as “colonists” as one Harvard professor stated, taking the barbaric, uncivilized children in order to “civilize them.”

Since the primary object of white superiority is supposed to be black Americans, let’s consider just that aspect of racism.  Understand, that racism is also, according to the left, a one way street.  It is not possible for a black person to feel prejudice, discrimination or antagonism against a white person.  Thus, when blacks on college campuses demand black only dorms and other black only spaces where whites or Asians or Hispanics cannot intrude, it is because they fear the rest of us, not because they are prejudiced against us, discriminate against our living next to them, or show antagonism towards us if we intrude where they think we should not be.  Blacks, according to the left, cannot be racists. Instead they are perpetual victims who fear the rest of the world.  I suspect Hershel Walker, HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Senator Tim Scott and many other black individuals would take issue, and do take issue with that view of blacks.  Why?  Because victimization keeps blacks on the plantation.  Victimization says that blacks are not capable of making something of themselves without the help of “woke” whites, who, understanding their inherent racism, strive to overcome it by keeping black families on welfare, encouraging black households  to have no father, placing Planned Parenthood facilities close to black neighborhoods to keep down the number of black babies born each year, blocking efforts to allow poor black children to attend the school of their choice where they might get a quality education and not have to contend with drug dealers at recess. 

Are there white people who are hateful to blacks?  Sure.  Just as there are black people who are hateful to whites.  Hatred is not owned by a single ethnic or racial group.  Throughout history, hatred has simmered between all sorts of groups, sometimes even between so-called Christian groups.  In Ireland, Catholics and Protestants stupidly killed each other for years in what was as much a political as a  religious dispute. In the west in the 1857, in Mountain Meadows Utah, Mormons massacred non-Mormon men, women, and children of a wagon train headed to California, nearly prompting a war between the United States Government and the Mormon Church.  Arabs have hated Israelis for centuries despite the fact that they are all descendants of Abraham.  Muslim majority Kosovo and Christian majority Serbia just settled a peace agreement with the help of the United States. Yet, in a world-wide survey when people were asked if they would try to move if a family of a different color or ethnicity moved in next door to them, the countries in which the smallest number of people said they would move were all English speaking:  Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Great Britain and, notably the United States.

Critical Race Theory, which is being taught to many of our young high school and college students, says that racism is baked into America, that our founding, our Bill of Rights, our Constitution, our entire society (of whites) is racist.  This is both historically and logically incorrect.  Slavery existed around the world including in most Western nations for centuries and continues to exist in many Muslim countries.  It was Africans themselves who captured and sold other Africans to the slave traders, some of whom were British.  And of all the slaves that were brought to the “new world,” the vast majority did not come to the 13 colonies. But from virtually the moment those first ships arrived to sell slaves to American colonists, other colonists began to raise their voices in objection to the thought that one human being could own another human being. And slavery was not as profitable as we are led to believe. A farmer could hire men to come and plant or harvest his crops without having to build houses for them, feed them,  provide medical help for them, and clothe them as the plantation owners had to do for their slaves. Nor did they have to post rewards and spend hours or days hunting down workers who had escaped from their farms.  It sounded like a great idea – labor you didn’t have to pay for—but in fact it was far more costly in the long run.  

The Declaration of Independence clearly states “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”  To the slave owners who signed that document, “men” may not have included slaves, but in the minds of many northerners, those words no doubt spelled the beginning of the end of slavery in the new nation. It was less than one hundred years after the colonies gained their independence from Great Britain that the Civil War saw the legal end to slavery and a hundred years after that that Republicans forced through Congress two amendments that ended the segregationist Jim Crow Laws of the Southern Democrats.  In less than two centuries after its founding, the United States had ended slavery and put into place laws that guaranteed equality among all Americans.  Since then we have seen black mayors elected in southern cities, and black senators and representatives from southern states. Our “racist” society counts black CEOs, black actors and actresses, millionaire black athletes whose fans are mostly white, black billionaires, black Secretaries of State, black Attorneys General, Black Supreme Court Justices, black policemen, black police chiefs, black physicians, black Cabinet members, black presidential advisors, and a black president of the United States, who despite doing a lackadaisical job, was reelected to a second term because the country wanted to give him a chance.  

It is not possible for those who serve in elected positions to have been put there solely by the black vote.  Only 13.4% of Americans are black, and that percentage includes children and those who simply don’t vote. Thus black members of Congress and the black president have obviously been elected by white Americans.  Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas were confirmed to the Supreme Court by a largely white Senate. Other blacks in positions of power have been either selected or elected largely by white Americans.

Why then does the left continue to peddle the idea of racism baked into the fabric of our society?  There are two reasons.  If we first separated the left into the far left and the Democrat Party, we then look at separate reasons.  The far left are Marxists and anarchists who wish to divide this country racially in order to pit us against one another.  Thus weakened by racial hatred, we will be easier to overthrow, allowing them to gradually push socialism as a replacement for the capitalism that has allowed black people to flourish (in non-Democrat controlled cities), but which they contend has instead held black people down.  Once we all buy into that, white people, burdened by the guilt of the slavery they had nothing to do with, will give in to the socialistic idea of taking from the one who has and giving to the one who doesn’t have.

The second reason lies with the Democrat Party.  This Party was the party of slave holders and of the Jim Crow Laws and segregation.  They have not much changed in the last sixty years. Their sole objective is power and they will do whatever is necessary to obtain it.  Their ideas to better America are never good ones, because they always include increasing individual taxes as well as taxing businesses until they are unable to expand and hire or are forced to move overseas.  Since these expensive, tax heavy ideas of theirs, like the Green New Deal, are never popular when people understand them, they have moved to embrace the Marxist and Anarchists of the far left in order to garner enough votes to win elections. Likewise, they continue to tell blacks that they are hated by whites (except white Democrats, of course) and that they, and they alone, will protect them.  Too bad more blacks don’t read the history books and learn a little bit about how the Democrats have “protected them” through the years!

America indeed supported slavery in some of its states, but never without voices crying out against it and many who participated in the Underground Railroad to sneak blacks to freedom in the North at the peril of their own lives. When the voices against slavery became too loud, the South seceded from the Union and the Civil War began. At one time there were many racists in America, 4 million members of the KKK alone in the 1920s out of a population of over 106 million.  4 million is a lot of haters, but it was still less than 4% of the population. Now,  according to government statistics there may be around 2,000 Klan members left, scattered in small groups around the country.  2,000 out of a population of around 330,000,000 people is not very many, certainly not enough to label all whites as racists!  45 million immigrants have arrived in the U.S. since just before the Civil War, married, and raised children, contributing many of the additional 200 million U.S. citizens since the 1920s.  For these immigrants and their descendants,  owning slaves was not a way of life just as it wasn’t for the many who inhabited the free states prior to the Civil War. Yet, the proponents of the Critical Race Theory would argue that nothing, not even adopting a black child or marrying a black spouse keeps a white person from being racist. White and racism and synonymous to them, despite the true meaning of the word. This brings us back to the medieval trial by water: float and you are guilty and executed; sink and you are innocent but dead. Who would have believed that such unenlightened thought could exist in the twenty-first century?

Logical thinking people of all colors understand the truth.  Racism is not inbred.  It is taught. And woe betide the Democrats and the left who are trying to create a racist country out of one that is not!
