Common Sense in an Uncommon World is a blog produced weekly and sometimes more often by Russ and Jane Witmer. Russ holds a Master of Arts Degree in History and has taught history, western civilizations, and political science for 40 years in middle school, high school, and college. Jane holds a Master of Science Degree in Education with a double major in English and French and a Master of Arts Degree in English. She has taught English, French, and Composition on the high school and college levels for 45 years. Both have traveled extensively, in Communist Czechoslovakia, in the Czech Republic, in Israel, in Thailand, and in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Hungary.
